These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to SILO's websites, mobile applications, community forums, documentation portals, and related online properties (collectively, the "Sites"), and to general interaction with SILO, an India-based company ("Company," "SILO," "we," or "us").

Separate agreements govern specific offerings: Terms of Service for paid storage services, Storage Provider Terms and Conditions for Storage Providers, and product-specific licenses where applicable. These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy.

By accessing or using the Sites or Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Sites.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Sites. If you use the Sites on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Intellectual Property

The Sites and their content, trademarks, logos, software, and design are owned by SILO or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. Except for open-source components governed by their own licenses, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

4. Modifications to the Sites

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Sites at any time without liability.

5. Copyright Complaints (India)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Sites infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good faith belief that use is unauthorized; (5) a statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (6) your signature.

We may remove or disable access to infringing material and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate, in accordance with applicable Indian law including intermediary obligations under the Information Technology Act, 2000.

6. Trademarks

SILO names, logos, and product marks may not be used without permission. You may not use meta tags or hidden text incorporating SILO marks without consent.

7. Third-Party Content

The Sites may display third-party content, links, or services. SILO does not control or endorse third-party materials and is not responsible for them. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

8. Acceptable Use

You will comply with applicable law and will not:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse others;
• Interfere with the Sites or Storage Network;
• Reverse engineer proprietary components (except open-source software we release);
• Upload malware or unlawful content;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation with SILO; or
• Use the Sites for unauthorized scraping, spam, or competitive intelligence gathering.

We may restrict or terminate access for violations.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to public areas of the Sites ("User Content"), excluding Storage Materials governed by the Terms of Service. You grant SILO a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute User Content as needed to operate the Sites.

You represent that you have rights to your User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms.

10. Feedback

Feedback you provide may be used by SILO without compensation or confidentiality obligations, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify SILO and its affiliates from claims arising out of your use of the Sites, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Disclaimers

THE SITES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." SILO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY INDIAN LAW. SILO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR USER CONTENT OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY INDIAN LAW, SILO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. SILO'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITES WILL NOT EXCEED INR 4,000 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID SILO FOR THE RELEVANT OFFERING IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory arbitration or consumer forum provisions under Indian law. Before formal action, contact [email protected] to attempt resolution within thirty (30) days.
